A Longstanding Chico Tradition!
Live music has long been a tradition in our downtown parks. Before being developed into the current version of Plaza Park, the park was a lovely grass filled space with tall trees, and sidewalks crossing diagonally in the pork, from it’s four corners. An undersized wood Gazebo was the stage for shows with many people seating on blankets filling the casual grassy space in front of the stage for the many rockin’ shows that were held there.
As this is long a public space for live music, it is an important element in our local music scene to capture and archive. We will continue to post galleries in the coming years of this wonderful tradition in our downtown park.
