Curtis Pope

A Chico native, Curtis long had an interest in photographing live music events. After many years following music as a fan, volunteer, staff member and a batik artist, he returned back to his community to pursue photography projects including elements of the regional music scene.

Goals

The short term goal is simply to create this website to support the music community and the image archive, so it may be displayed beyond simply social media posts. The overarching goal is community based, artist focused website, and event calendar that sustains itself. To be sustainable the drive is towards a non-profit that would allow for donations to support events, awards and scholarships to aspiring musicians.

Photography Projects

Curtis has three main photography projects, the wildflowers of Upper Bidwell Park, Restored Show Cars and Trucks and this project capturing elements of the music scene. This project also provides high quality images for artists to promote themselves.
